SPECIALIST CARE

We have staff that are trained to care for the people with special needs requirement, which is different from the main stream in the daily care needs.

A. Braille is the system of writing for the blind people, consisting of raised dots interpreted by touch. We have carers who     are trained in this area to give the help and support when needed.

B. People with learning disabilities/People with challenging behaviours and people with mental health issues. The categorised needs and support requires carers who have experience in these fields, our staffs are trained /experienced and able to work with people who have long-term needs, many of whom will have either spent long period in the hospital or who have been admitted frequently for short periods. We also work with people that suffer from severe mental disorders and people who have acute periods of distress such as, anxiety or depression.

In all the above cases continuity of care is important, and this is where we play a major role.

We also work with people with HIV/AIDS and people with physical and sensory disabilities; we have staffs that have vast experience in this area, they give care and support to clients to allow them to live comfortably in their own homes.

C. Autism - (A psychiatry disorder with children} Characterised by lack of response to people and limited ability to communicate. Our support workers are specially trained to care and support this group of people and their families. We also have staffs who are very experienced in caring and supporting people that suffers from cerebral pulse and multiple sclerosis.
